ROLLERSKATES and STUFF

Ok so, I heard there is a Wumpskate happening in San Jose now. I guess the next one is Nov 10, and every 2nd tues each month. This is awesome and I'm going to try and go to as many of these as i can because i LOVE roller-skating, but I hate listening to the lame pop/hip hop music that every place plays :(

I guess i'll need to redecorate my skates cuz they are white with pink wheels, lol !!

Anyone else interested in this event? Maybe i can coordinate with ppl and give rides.

Hmm ok I'll post something. My Feb 14th was low key but pleasant, and I'm ok with that. Ed made me an omolete for breakfast (cheese, blackbeans, chives, and salsa on the side), then at about 1:30 we hit up KAMAKURA in Alameda for a sushi lunch, YUM! He knew I was wanting sushi for a while now so it just shows me that he pays attention :)

Later that evening, after I got home from work we gathered up a bunch of friends and headed down to the FILMORE to catch the one and only, Rev.Horton Heat! I had a blast and even got a bit tippsy :)

So all in all, I had a good day.

Hello everyone! Quick question here...My boyfirend, Ed is interested in working for an MMORPG company, but he's not quite sure where start looking...info like what kind of jobs might be availiable, ect would be helpful. He has a lot of IT knowlege, and has been playing MMORPGs for about 12 years.

He has done beta testing for a number of popular games (hes testing one of the most current/hyped up games right now, and has done testing for Ultima Online, EverQwest, Asheron's Call, ect..) so he's informed of the processes that go on in game development, and keeps up in appropriate q&a forums for players/beta testing.

I'm just sending out some feelers right now, I think a few of you have worked for video game companies, or have played these games yourself so if you can help me/him out in anyway, I would be very thankful.

party time! excellent!

I had a great weekend, spending the entire time with Ed (yay!), attending various attractions such as the reopening of the EastBay Rats club house on both friday and saturday nights.

The EastBay Rats party was interesting because I never actually been to their clubhouse before, though I've passed by it many times. The friday party was alright until it started to get insanely crowded, so we left. However we did manage to catch some KEWL boxing/wrestling matches in their giant fightin' ring. There was pain...and it was awesome. We did leave somewhat early though. But, we hit up a bar for more drinking and fun so it was cool. Seriously, the clubhouse was so full it was crushing :(

Saturday night was better, the clubhouse was still crowded, but not in an uncomfortable way. Besides, there was going to be more fighting, and better music such as Fracas and Everything Must Go. I enjoyed Fracas because I had not seen them perform in a long while, Joe is always entertaining! hahaha! I was too busy watching the fights to see Everything Must Go, but thats ok, I could sort of hear them from the ring anyways. Saturday night was so much more fun!

I wished Vanessa would have come out with us, but she was busy. She had to be ready for her solo show at Wente Vineyards, set to open on Sun for a reception. But we will be going to see ARNOCORE and THOR on the 8th at Slims anyways...

Then, lastly on Sunday Ed and I got up somewhat early to take a bike ride into Berkeley to satisfy my craving for orange juice. However, after dropping our bikes off at the bar so we didn't have to lock 'em, we ended up having a couple drinks...at like 12pm...whoa. ThAts COol...

We ended up heading to Livermore to see Vanessa's show and to wine taste. It was a great reception, her work is so vibrant and original, she's really come a long way as an artist. WHEW! what a day :)

I'm so happy

Ugg...Papers

I have to write one essay exloring a debatabe subject, then write an argumentation paper that takes a side. This really sucks and I hate doing these types of papers. I'm working on euthanasia right now, but its really hard to navigate all the information out there. I've sat in front of the computer for 3 days and still can not organize the info into anything. I'm starting to think that maybe I could RECYCLE an old paper I wrote about a samurai move, THE HIDDEN BLADE (directed by Yoji Yamada).

In my first paper I could reasearch what are the great Samurai movies and what makes them reconizably so, then use the HIDDEN BLADE paper as my argument paper...! Hmm, I have to ask my teacher about that (but I wont mention that I've already done 1/2 the work)!

CDs

Today was MUSIC day for emily! First, I finally received my order from Klang Dynamik, including...

Fix8:Sed8 - humanophobia (this is a great album, combining beautiful melodies and harsh ebm vocals, it makes for a dynamic and fulfilling album)
Gregory - restart
and a free Compilation album (yay!)
the local Augsburg newspaper (used as packing material, it's not MUSIC but it was still entertaining)

Then I went to Amoeba with Peter and picked up...

Re:Legion - 13 Seconds
Heimataerde - Leben Geben, Leben Nehmen
Monokrom - Tales of Rabbits and Hares (WHOA NOIZE! Love it though!)
Grinderman - Grinderman
Air - 10,000 Hz Legend

REUNITED!

I just found a freshly wrapped SOMAN album (sound pressure) on my shelf. DUDE! WTF was i thinking, Peter gave me this album many many months ago!

On second thought, it was a pleasant surprise to find it just waiting for me ever so patiently on the shelf...

Well now it can join my other 2 SOMAN albums and they can all be in a happy powernoise family together
